The Sony PMW-200 XDCAM HD422 is a broadcast-ready handheld camcorder that pairs three 1/2-inch Exmor CMOS sensors with a 14x fixed Fujinon lens to deliver crisp Full HD images with excellent sensitivity and low noise. Independent focus, zoom, and iris rings provide precise, repeatable control, while optical SteadyShot helps keep handheld footage smooth.

For workflows, the PMW-200 records XDCAM HD422 at 50 Mbps to MXF (broadcast standard), as well as XDCAM EX 35 Mbps and DVCAM for maximum flexibility. Dual ExpressCard/34 SxS slots extend recording time, and Slow & Quick Motion captures 1–60 fps in 720p or 1–30 fps in 1080p for in-camera speed effects.

Connectivity is truly professional: HD/SD-SDI and HDMI outputs, timecode in/out, genlock, i.LINK, and two XLR inputs with 48 V phantom power. A 3.5-inch WVGA LCD and color EVF—plus peaking and expanded focus—make on-set monitoring and focusing straightforward. Optional Wi-Fi (CBK-WA01) enables remote control and planning metadata integration.
