The Roland XS-1HD Multi-Format Matrix Switcher is a highly versatile, compact table-top matrix switcher designed for professional AV environments, live event production and fixed installations. With four HDMI inputs and four HDMI outputs, each input includes a frame synchroniser and scaler allowing diverse video sources (cameras, media players, computers, smartphones) to be harmonised and routed to multiple destinations.

This unit supports high-quality 4:4:4/10-bit processing and is capable of handling resolutions up to WUXGA/1080p, enabling clean and accurate video output even in demanding environments.

Three distinct operational modes—Matrix, Switcher and Split—offer the flexibility to choose between straightforward source-to-output routing, full real-time switching with transitions, PiP and key-compositing, or simultaneous display of multiple inset windows on a single output.

Audio is fully integrated with a built-in eight-channel digital audio mixer that combines HDMI audio and stereo analog input, with “audio follow video” functionality and full routing to HDMI and analog outputs. The unit supports HDCP, includes an EDID emulator, and can load still images for display from a USB flash drive, making it a highly complete all-in-one AV routing and processing solution.

Compact in size (roughly the width of a 13-inch laptop) and designed for simplicity of deployment, the XS-1HD offers a powerful yet space-efficient package for corporate events, presentation venues, theatres, houses of worship, and other multi-screen or multi-destination applications.
